I'm Mr. Payne, and I'm thrilled to welcome you to my art classes here at MVMS!

Allow me to share a bit about my journey with you. With a solid background of 15 years as a graphic artist in the defense sector, I bring a unique blend of precision and creativity to the world of art. My journey hasn't been limited to the canvas; I've also proudly served in the US Navy for 24 years, holding the rank of Chief Petty Officer. This experience has taught me discipline, leadership, and the value of commitment.

 

Throughout my life, I've had an unyielding fascination with art and the tools that breathe life into it. Now, I'm excited to explore this world of creativity with all of you. As I enter my 13th year of teaching, and my second year at MVMS, I'm genuinely looking forward to a year of collaboration, exploration, and growth.

 

In my classes, we delve into the exciting realm of art together. I specialize in teaching the second level of MS Art, a journey that takes us deeper into our artistic potentials. Additionally, I lead the High School Credit Art class, offering you the chance to not only enhance your skills but also earn valuable credit for your efforts.

 

My teaching philosophy goes beyond just techniques – it's about nurturing a passion for art, cultivating innovative thinking, and instilling the dedication needed for success in any endeavor. With a background that seamlessly blends military precision and artistic expression, I promise an educational experience that's both inspiring and rewarding.
