Mrs. Salerno - Reading Strategies 23-24

Welcome to my dyslexia class!

 

I am looking forward to an exciting and successful new school year with you. During this course, you will strengthen your knowledge of reading, writing, inquiry, listening, and speaking skills. This class will provide you with the foundational tools to understand why and how to read.

 

We will be using the district program called MTA for Multi-sensory Teaching Approach to help develop and enhance these important reading and spelling areas. We will also be using a wonderful resource for listening to audio books. This program is called Learning Ally and students are automatically enrolled and able to utilize this feature for free! 

 

This year I will also be using the communication program Remind to reach out weekly with upcoming due assignments, tests, announcements, to better supplement the expectations and requirements in my classroom. This is a great way to reach me as well, in addition to emailing me.
