Bio

This is my eighth year in education. I attended schools in Deer Park, Texas and taught in Deer Park ISD for seven years. I have experience at both the primary and secondary levels. Starting out in first grade led me to find a true passion in teaching kids how to read through direct explicit guided reading instruction. I looped with my last first-grade group and taught them in second grade. After teaching second grade for three years, I obtained my Master of Education in Administration from Lamar University in 2022. I moved up to the secondary level and taught 6th grade ELAR and coached football at DPJH for two years before moving out to the hill country. I will be teaching direct dyslexia instruction through the MTA program this year at MVMS. I will also be coaching football and soccer!

Servant leadership best describes my teaching style. I believe that culture is built through collaborative transformational leadership. My main goal is to provide a safe and effective classroom environment in which all students can learn and feel valued everyday.
