Welcome To Middle School Art!

Hello and welcome to MVMS! I am Mrs. Reynaud, and I teach Middle School Art 1 and Middle School Art 2. This is my 22nd year in education and my 4th year in Comal ISD. My husband and I decided to move out of the city and headed to the hills five years ago and it has been the best decision we have ever made! We love the area and the people and are so happy to be living here. Both of our kids attended Smithson Valley, our son Jonah is now at Texas State and our daughter Aubree will be attending Texas Tech in the Fall. A little bit about me: I love reading, drawing, painting, crafts, and being outdoors. Family is huge with us, wether we are out eating at a new place, camping, or watching a movie, my favorite times are always when we can be together. 

 

A little bit about Middle School art. Art in Middle School is different than elementary. We see the kids every day and they are graded on their projects. We focus on the elements of art and building up techniques and skills in various mediums. Some of the materials students in Middle School Art 1 and MS Art 2 work with are graphite and charcoal pencils, Prismacolors, watercolors, oil pastels, various types of markers, paint pens, and clay. There is an Art Fee of $20 that is paid at the beginning of the school year to help cover the costs of the materials your child will use throughout the year.
