On February 9, 2019, the Emerald Stars competed at the Crowd Pleasers Dance Contest where they were very successful and earned the Grand Champion title among the small team category. Our dance officers also earned the team’s first ever Grand Champion Officer group title as well as earning a special Artistry recognition from the judges on their Officer Open routine! The team also earned awards in precision and technique for their team and officer routines. We had two soloist rank top 10 out of 50+ soloist, 7th grader Cheyenne Guillory placed 2nd and 7th grader Lily Dopeke placed 4th. We are so lucky to have all of these ladies as part of our team and hawk community! For the next few weeks the Emerald Stars will continue to work hard and prepare for their upcoming contest in Houston for the Crowd Pleasers Middle School State Contest on March 2nd.
